Day Solutions Inc., is an independently owned and operated day habilitation program for adults with both intellectual and developmental disabilities located in Jefferson City, Missouri. Our mission is to provide a safe and stimulating day program where adults with disabilities can learn, grow, and develop relationships with their peers, and actively participate in the community around them. We strive to meet the unique social, emotional, and educational needs of individuals with a wide range of disabilities. We are a fully HIPAA compliant facility that meets and exceeds local and state fire code and OSHA standards. Day Solutions opened it's doors on April 1st, 2015 with one client and three staff members and as the word of our existence spread, so did the number of clients coming through our doors. As of March 2018, our facility is currently home to 15 full-time and part-time staff members, 2 volunteers, and 23 consumers and we are currently accepting new clients.
Consumers currently attending Day Solutions cover the counties of Cole, Callaway, Miller and Osage. At Day Solutions, we understand that when a child with a disability grows up, the need for services does not disappear. Our goal is to continue to help those in need reach their goals, by providing continued support and services to both our clients and their families. The 2400 sq. foot main area of Day Solutions, Inc. host a variety of work and sensory centers. Our 6 table work centers are used for both individual and group learning, and it's here that consumers use a variety of activities designed to target their personal goals including: academic, social, fine motor and cognitive skills. Our sensory centers which include a puzzle station, art center and therapeutic sand table, are aimed at assisting consumers in building self-awareness and confidence to voice and identify personal preferences for leisure activities; while fostering the skills necessary to develop and maintain appropriate and successful peer relationships.
